Plexxi Named New Hampshire High Tech Council Product of the Year Finalist

We’re proud to announce that the Plexxi Switch 2 was named one of the top five finalists for “product of the year” by the New Hampshire High Tech Council. The Product of the Year award celebrates innovative products developed in the past year by New Hampshire-based technology companies and provides a platform for entrepreneurs and inventors to receive advice, promotion, and podium time in front of hundreds of tech leaders at the finalist event.

The winner will be announced at the High Tech Council’s awards event on November 12 at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford. We’ll be there presenting the Switch 2 live to the audience.

The launch of Plexxi Switch 2 Series was an incredible milestone for us and it’s with this groundbreaking technology that we’re poised to lead the next era of IT. CEO Rich Napolitano Named to the 2015 CRN Top 100 Executives List

We’re thrilled that CEO, Rich Napolitano has been named to CRN®’s Top 100 list of the IT industry’s foremost channel leaders. CRN’s annual list recognizes the efforts of agile decision-makers who play an integral role in evolving the way the channel does business. Plexxi Heads West: Big Data for Business

Big data – a buzzword that every industry is trying to wrap its head around. But what does it mean for networking?

Plexxi’s Ed Henry had the opportunity to discuss big data fabrics and Plexxi’s perspective on tackling big data in networking at a Big Data for Business Meet-Up in Denver.

Ed shared insight into both the hardware (the components and switches) and software (affinity groups and links) and how the combination of the two is necessary to manage big data. Plexxi’s hardware/software approach integrated with Cloudera Manager allows companies to manage big data clusters and provisioned services. Introducing the Plexxi Pulse Partner Summit

More exciting things happening at Plexxi’s offices this week. Wednesday marked a company milestone for Plexxi as we hosted the kick-off for our new partner program, the Plexxi Pulse Partner Summit.  The day-long event covered the fast-growing networking market, scale-out applications and new architectural requirements of the 3rd Platform IT era.

Attendees saw presentations from Plexxi’s executive team, including CEO Rich Napolitano; SVP of Sales and Support Tim Lieto; Founder and EVP of Products / CTO Dave Husak; and myself. We were also honored to have Cloudera’s Big Data Evangelist Amy O’Connor present to our attendees.

Plexxi Is Growing Again

We’re dodging scaffolding and flying paint cans around the office in our Nashua, N.H. headquarters this week as work crews knock down walls to expand our current office space to keep pace with Plexxi’s growth. Since Rich Napolitano was announced as CEO two months ago, the company has grown 20 percent (and we’re hiring across the board in development, sales, support and marketing!).

The office expansion will increase our headquarters footprint by 5,600 square feet to 23,000 square feet. The new space that’s being set up this week will house our growing sales, marketing and business operations. It will also feature customer meeting and demonstration areas that will be up and running soon.

We’ll keep you posted on our growth and promise to share more pictures once the space is complete. Now if I could only figure out where my desk was moved to…
