It's been quite some time since we've seen a brand new iPhone design. In fact, Apple has essentially relied upon the same iPhone design since the iPhone 6 was first introduced all the way back in 2014. Now there's certainly nothing wrong with the current design -- which is rather sleek and svelte -- but products that don't evolve in the fast moving world of technology are easy to categorize as stale.Of course, the iPhone 7 is hardly stale underneath the hood, but a strong case can be made that iPhone owners are desperately hoping for a brand new redesign. Not to worry, the upcoming iPhone 8 will reportedly heed the call.According to a variety of sources, Apple's iPhone 8 will introduce a cutting edge new design with an edge to edge OLED display. What's more, the display itself is said to occupy the entire front face of the device, which is to say that Apple will completely eliminate both the top and bottom bezels. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here

That's quite a long time for a smartphone market that tends to move at warp speed. What's more, with 2016 marking the first year that iPhone sales experienced a decline, there's a strong case to be made that iPhone owners are more eager than ever before for something a little bit fresher. Not to fear, Apple's 2017 iPhone -- a device that will reportedly be dubbed the iPhone 8 -- may finally introduce a brand new design. With the iPhone celebrating its 10-year anniversary last week, there have been quite a number of interesting stories highlighting just how impactful Apple's iconic smartphone has been. While there's no denying that the iPhone helped create the modern day smartphone market as we know it, it's just as remarkable that the iPhone has remained the "smartphone to beat" for nearly a decade now.As time has marched on, we've slowly but surely learned more about the process that led to the iPhone's creation. As is well known now, Steve Jobs during the early iPhone development days tasked two separate teams to come up with varying iPhone designs. One such design was to be based on the iPod's clickwheel, while the other was designed to be a touchscreen running a variant of OS X. Ultimately, Apple wisely opted to go with the latter design. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here
When Apple released its line of revamped MacBook Pros late last year, the response was surprisingly lukewarm. Even though Apple's new flagship notebook introduced us to the TouchBar, even the most die-hard Apple enthusiasts couldn't help but notice that Apple's new notebooks were a little underpowered and incredibly pricey. One of the more common complaints, at least from power users, was that Apple's new MacBook Pro maxed out at 16GB of RAM. While 16GB of RAM is more than enough for most users, folks who work with complex video and photography workflows will glady take all the memory they can get their hands on. And while Apple can arguably get away with a 16GB RAM limit on its MacBook and MacBook Air line, some pondered why Apple's Pro level notebook was subject to what was presumably an arbitrary ceiling. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here

Interestingly enough, he'll be taking his talents to Tesla. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here
10 years ago today, Steve Jobs delivered one of the most masterful product introductions in history when he unveiled the iPhone. Though the idea that Apple was working on a phone had been making its way through the rumor mill over the preceding few months, what the iPhone actually delivered to the table surpassed even the most optimistic of expectations. With a multitouch display and intuitive access to the entire web via mobile Safari, the iPhone instantly changed the way people used their smartphones. And that's not to say nothing of the App Store which went live in July of 2008 and quickly turned the smartphone industry on its head.Apple earlier today, naturally, celebrated 10 years of the iPhone with a special splash page on its website. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here
